About Thea Marais

Having worked within the medical health field for many years, Thea has the ability to not only teach Anatomy and Physiology but more importantly, to give the students an understanding of the importance of how the body works both in health and disease – thus making the course more applicable for complementary therapies. In the course she also explains how important lifestyle is in maintaining health, looking at which factors contribute to health as well as those that are detrimental. She will include numerous examples from her initial work in hospitals as well as her later work in applied psychology in various aspects of health maintenance.

Comments and feedback from former students:

You were a very good leader because you made the class a co-creation which is -a very high level teaching skill that we all benefited from and enjoyed.
Marsha Staubli

I am so happy to have taken this class, not only for the knowledge Thea has given us, but also the friendships, contacts, mutual interests and for our future healing empowerment meetings.
Katja Jacobsen

I am so pleased and grateful for this amazing experience I had with you all in English... And thank you so much to Thea for bringing all that information to my mind.
Sylvie Nahum

First, I need to thank Thea for her patience and sense of humor, I guess you need it or how you can deal with that very serious subject and still laugh like we did in class, so thanks Thea

And the group well... What can I say, in my opinion it was the absolute perfect combination of energies, just perfect and all that I learned from all of you was cherry on the cake, thanks!!
