Did you know that happier people are healthier, more resilient, live longer, and are more successful in both social relationships and work life? And, did you know that we can influence and sustain our level of happiness?

In the past few years, globally scientists have become very interested in trying to discover and measure what makes people happy. The most important discovery is that optimism is a skill that anyone can learn. Therefore, we each have the opportunity to become happier. When we talk about learning to become happier, we are not referring to positive thinking, but a new concept called learned optimism.

During our 2 days together we will explore transformational concepts in the area of happiness by sharing ground-breaking research, providing important tools and exploring key topics including:

  • The importance of being happier
  • How our mind influences our reality
  • Optimism versus pessimism
  • The mind/body connection and overcoming stress
  • Mindfulness meditation and mindful creativity
  • The power of the environment
  • Identifying and focusing on your strengths
  • Finding pleasure and meaning in life
  • The power of setting goals aligned with your personal interests and values.
  • The power of gratitude.

Happiness is a unique and personal experience. Therefore the workshop is structured in a way which promotes discussion and time for personal reflection. Our objective is to ensure you gain insights necessary to help you find a way to become happier in your life - it is after all your birthright and is a prerequisite to achieving your personal and spiritual growth.

A participant's comment:
"It is amazing how much you win by taking two days to concentrate on happiness… In fact simple things can easily bring you ways to improve your life."

Your Facilitators:

Chris is originally from Toronto, Canada and holds an Honors Bachelor of Business degree. Chris has worked for Procter & Gamble for 5 years and a multinational company in Geneva where he was employed to deliver training in regions including Eastern and Western Europe, Asia and Africa.

His passion in life is educating and training. He is Managing Director of a training and development company called INITIATE (www.initiate.ch) based in Geneva. Chris created INITIATE to help people discover what is truly GREAT within them. He works with organizations globally helping to inspire people to demonstrate their greatness in areas such as leadership, communication, presentation skills, and coaching. Chris also finds pleasure researching human development to aid in his personal growth and development. This is how he learnt and developed the Art of Happiness program together with Dora.

Dora's passion in life is accelerating human development through consciousness studies and creative expression. Dora's educational and professional background is in human resources management. Her experience includes managing a training and development function of a large multinational. She left her career two years ago to take care of her two little angels and study transpersonal psychology. Through her studies and full-time parenting, Dora has learnt to apply mindfulness to her and her children's life. She knows how much happier she and her family are as a result and has co-created The Art of Happiness with Chris to share this experience with others.
