This workshop uses a hands on approach to provide new trainers with the tools and skills needed to run useful and interesting training sessions. Emphasis is put on the behaviours and attitudes that are fundamental to being perceived as an effective trainer. Self-esteem, confidence and positive outlook combined with good communication skills are the basic personal ingredients that ensure that good training techniques are effectively deployed.

ABOUT THE TRAINER:

In creating SWIM upstream, JoAnne Freeman has woven together various strands of professional expertise. Her unique approach blends extensive experience in global corporations, UN agencies, hi-tech start-ups and commercial companies. She is recognized for innovative techniques to meeting facilitation and team building and has developed particularly effective approaches for personal promotion and influence. Three workshops of unique design; SWIM, strengthening women's impact, Marketing Brand Me, and Skillful Meeting Facilitation enjoy high demand across Europe.

JoAnne was responsible for Management Education at Digital Equipment Corporation after coming to Geneva from Canada. Her early career spans managing International Humanitarian projects in Africa and Asia, teaching Sociology at Colleges in Toronto, Montreal and Geneva. Techniques from Dramatherapy and Transactional Analysis are incorporated into her training methodology for deeper skills acquisition.

In addition to regularly speaking at women's professional networks and conferences, JoAnne is a faculty member of Management Centre Europe in Brussels and the Mediterranean Management Centre in Cyprus. She is an associate of DIAFORA, gender training and coaching, and is on the Advisory Board of W.I.N. the Women's International Network conference. She has co-founded TEN the Trainer's Exchange Network in Geneva.
